Norma Jaslan enters the Catholic Family |
|
Early in December we experienced a very special event – that of Norma Jaslan being admitted into the Catholic Church. It meant the world to her.
Norma has been a resident at St Dominic’s Hostel for over 17 years. In the past few years she chose to attend daily mass yet couldn’t participate fully in the Eucharist. With much prayer and guidance she decided to take the step and become a Catholic.
Norma was received into the Catholic Church as a catechumen on Sunday the 30th of November 2008, and the following Sunday, the 7th of December 2008, she was Baptised with the Christian name of Olivia, received Holy Communion and did her Confirmation in the Holy Spirit.
She had been longing so much to receive Holy Communion. Finally it happened!! Now Norma speaks with great energy on the day and is ready to share the beautiful experience with all whom she meets. |
